[CCAs Spotlight] Dive into the vibrant world of abstract art

This week in Magnificent Art, our Prep pupils explored the colourful world of Wassily Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstraction in Western art. They learned how Kandinsky used shapes, lines, and bold colors to express feelings and ideas rather than painting realistic images. Inspired by his unique style, the children experimented with creating their own abstract pieces, carefully thinking about how colors and patterns can represent emotions and moods. This gave them a wonderful opportunity to be creative, imaginative, and expressive while developing their understanding of how art can communicate beyond words.
Magnificent Art is one of the 69 Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) running Monday to Thursday each week at no extra cost at Brighton College Vietnam.
The CCAs programme plays a vital role in enriching pupil learning and developing essential skills such as teamwork, leadership, and self-management. By engaging in a variety of activities alongside their peers, pupils build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, foster a sense of community, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their future aspirations.
