[CCAs Spotlight] From pop to gospel: Exploring music in Senior Choir

Our Senior Choir CCA, held every Monday, is a wonderful platform for pupils who share a love for singing and music. More than just a weekly session, it is a vibrant community where pupils come together to discover their voices, build confidence, and grow as performers.
Under the guidance of Ms Jane Humberstone, the pupils are introduced to a wide variety of musical genres – from pop and rock to the soulful sounds of gospel. Each session gives them the opportunity to explore new vocal techniques, develop harmony work, and learn the importance of teamwork in creating a unified sound.
The Senior Choir is one of the 69 Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) offered to Senior pupils from Monday to Thursday each week, at no additional cost, at Brighton College Vietnam.
The CCA programme plays a vital role in enriching pupils’ learning and developing essential skills such as teamwork, leadership, and self-management. By engaging in a variety of activities alongside their peers, pupils build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, foster a sense of community, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their future aspirations.
