“I believe that building an academic community requires a careful balance between high expectations and genuine care and support.”

It is this very philosophy – that academic excellence thrives in an environment of compassion and high expectations – that underpins Mr Jason James Sannegadu’s approach to education. As Brighton College Vietnam opens an exciting new chapter with the launch of our Sixth Form, we are delighted to welcome Mr. Sannegadu, who will guide our pioneering cohort through the transformative International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

With more than 15 years in education — including a decade as an IB teacher and examiner — Mr Sannegadu brings both expertise and empathy to his role. He has held senior leadership positions as Assistant Vice Principal and Head of Houses at North London Collegiate School Jeju (South Korea). As a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and Associate of the Royal Historical Society, he combines academic rigour with a deep commitment to nurturing pupil growth — both intellectually and personally.

Mr Sannegadu’s approach to Sixth Form leadership centers on nurturing the whole pupil. His vision encompasses three key pillars:

  • Personalised Pastoral Care – Establishing a comprehensive support system where every pupil feels known, heard, and valued as an individual
  • Meaningful Leadership Development – Creating authentic opportunities for pupils to grow as compassionate, globally-minded citizens who can make a positive impact
  • Expert University Guidance – Providing strategic support for university applications through collaboration with our IB team and Director of Futures.

With wisdom, warmth, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every young person, Mr Sannegadu will be a steady and inspiring presence throughout the Sixth Form experience – helping our pupils grow into confident, curious, and kind leaders of tomorrow.
