One shared heartbeat for 80 years of Vietnam’s independence

In the autumn of 1945, upon Ba Dinh Square, the red flag with its yellow star rose into the sky of freedom. It was the beginning of a new dawn for a nation. Eight decades on, that flag still flies – proud, steadfast, a thread binding the valour of the past to the hopes of the present.
Today, within that spirit, the community of Brighton College Vietnam beats as one: the pride that lives in the hearts of our Vietnamese pupils, the friendship of international companions who share and honour these values, and the quiet resolve of the young, who carry knowledge and kindness as their compass towards the future.
On this 80th National Day, we are humbled to stand together – teachers and pupils, Vietnamese and international alike – in gratitude and in hope. May we continue to nurture dreams, safeguard memory, and add our own lines to the unfolding story of tomorrow.
