At Brighton College Vietnam, pastoral care is the responsibility of every adult in the school. The House System at Brighton College Vietnam also plays a vital role in our pastoral care. Regardless of prior experience or pupils’ perceptions of their own ability, we invite pupils to try their hand at everything, placing emphasis on the confidence and courage exhibited when they take risks and give it a go. Kindness: Our aim is to build an all-encompassing community of kindness that values inclusivity, diversity, and unconditional respect – from our teachers and staff to parents and of course, our pupils. We foster a shared commitment to kindness through formal methods such as our RSHE (Relationships, Health & Sex Education) curricula, and our PELICAN Pathway – the system we use to help pupils cultivate positive behaviors and qualities. We also nurture kindness in more informal ways, like themed assemblies, celebrating for pupils who have been “caught being kind” in a week, and special school events like our traditional Charity Days, which promote giving back and contributing to the communities around us.

Additionally, we provide breakfast for pupils who wish to have their morning meal at school. We have a dedicated cafeteria where pupils can conveniently access food when needed. Instead, parents top up a deposit, and pupils use their face or ID cards for secure and convenient transactions for purchasing items within the school premises.
