Remembrance Day: Cherishing the Privilege of Peace
This morning, the Brighton College Vietnam community gathered for a special Remembrance Day assembly. Through touching stories and quiet reflection, pupils learned the profound meaning of Remembrance – why we pause each year on November 11th to honour the unfathomable courage, immense sacrifice, and the fragile gift of peace.

Around the world today, we remember the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and civilians of all backgrounds and nations who gave their lives to secure our freedom—and those who continue to serve in its name.
Let us wear a red poppy, breathe in the peace and recognise what a rare and special privilege it is to have.
- Remember those who gave their today for our tomorrow.
- Appreciate the peace that surrounds us — in every gentle sound, every safe moment.
- Reflect for those who still long for peace — and let compassion guide our actions.
