A Part of Society

Making a Difference

At Brighton College Vietnam, we are dedicated to making a positive difference to the world around us.

We work hard to be a kind and caring community that looks out into our local surroundings, as well as beyond to the wider world.

We know the attitudes pupils develop at school will remain with them throughout their lives, and so we foster a culture in which our pupils appreciate their responsibility towards other members of society.

Social Responsibility

Our pupils take the lead in organising various fundraising events throughout the academic year, from Christmas Fairs, International Fairs, to Business 300,000 VND Challenges and Bake Sale Fundraisers.

These initiatives enable us and our pupils to make a positive impact in our community. This includes supporting Animals Asia’s continental animal protection efforts, or helping remote schools in Vietnam recover from the aftermath of 2024’s Typhoon Yagi.

Supporting Yagi Typhoon-Affected Schools

When Typhoon Yagi struck northern Vietnam in September 2024, Brighton College Vietnam swiftly mobilised our community support, reaching out to help schools in Bao Yen District, Lao Cai Province, one of the hardest-hit areas.

Working closely with local authorities, we directed these funds to repair two schools in Viet Tien Commune, enabling pupils in one of the most severely impacted areas to return to safe learning environments. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to fostering kindness and community responsibility among our pupils, whilst making a meaningful impact in times of crisis.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to supporting more schools in need across Lao Cai Province, continuing our mission to make a positive difference in the educational landscape of this region.

How we Make a Difference

Challenge for Charity

All profits from one of our Senior School pupils' academic challenges - the 300,000 VND challenge - were donated to the school charity.

Gia Bao’s CKC Foundation

An inspiring journey of the CKC Foundation, a social enterprise founded by Year 10 pupil Gia Bảo, turning classroom lessons into meaningful action to support communities in need.

Christmas Fair

Brighton College Vietnam's Christmas Fair brought joy, creativity, and festive cheer to our community, with all proceeds supporting meaningful charity initiatives to make a difference beyond the school.

Melodies of Kindness: A Christmas Carol for the Community

Our pupils brought festive cheer to the Metropole Hotel with a joyful carol performance that lit up the hearts of all in attendance. Their voices added a touch of warmth to the season, sharing in the spirit of togetherness and celebration.

Our Spaces

Our state-of-the-art facilities use natural spaces, light, and resources to inspire both teachers and pupils, supporting their learning to the fullest.
