Small acts, big impact: Viet Hung’s commitment to community

At Brighton College Vietnam, we believe that teaching empathy and compassion is essential in shaping responsible and caring future leaders.
One outstanding example of this is Viet Hung, who has shown consistent dedication to supporting those in need through a range of community activities. From delivering lunch boxes to patients in Hanoi hospitals to taking part in the No Food Waste campaign, his contributions are both meaningful and impactful. He not only helped deliver meals but also played a key role in promoting the initiative on campus, designing posters and encouraging participation among his peers.
“I find joy in helping others and seeing others smile,” Viet Hung shared.
His active involvement in community activities has been recognised by the school. In the past academic year, he was honoured with the Impact on Community Award, presented to the pupil who has made a meaningful and positive difference in the wider community.
At BCVN, it’s small, everyday acts, like holding doors for others or helping classmates, that build the foundation for larger, impactful projects. Pupils like Viet Hung truly reflect the values we teach, proving that kindness has the power to transform lives, one action at a time.
