Year 2 pupils explore the world of work

DSC08164

A look back at a joyful day of learning: Our Year 2 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable educational adventure during a day trip that brought the world of work to life. In a specially designed environment, they stepped into the roles of real-world professionals – from firefighters and pilots to chefs, delivery workers and animation artists – combining play with purposeful learning in the most engaging way.

They had the chance to choose different roles and take part in hands-on activities that simulated real-life workplaces. These experiences weren’t just about role play, they taught valuable life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving in an engaging and interactive environment.

Many expressed excitement after completing tasks like delivering an order, piloting a flight simulator, baking pastries, drawing in an animation studio, and learning about firefighting.

This thoughtfully curated day reminded us that even at Prep School level, opportunities to explore careers in a joyful and age-appropriate way can help shape confident, self-aware learners who are excited about their futures.
